MUMBAI: State-run Air India Ltd’s latest bid to sell its real estate assets has found few takers. The national carrier could sell less than 10 of the 56 properties that were put up for sale in April, according to two people directly aware of the development. The reserve price of these properties, mostly residential units, ranged from ₹16 lakh to about ₹8 crore and were located in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. |

The government has put top consultancy firm EY to work for divesting its stake in flag carrier Air India and "quickly" issue expression of interest (EoI). "EY continues to be the transaction advisor for the sale of Air India. We have been directed to close the accounts for FY 2018-19 and provide updated data for EoI to take the disinvestment process forward," said a senior Air India official. |

New Delhi: Air India has announced to scale up its Delhi-Dubai and Mumbai-Dubai operations from June 1, a route that for the last few years was dominated by Jet Airways. Air India already has one flight each daily between Delhi-Dubai and Mumbai-Dubai and it will be adding two more flights daily taking it to a total of four flights now. |

Air India chief, Ashwani Lohani, has instructed the airline’s leadership team to “come down heavily” on instances of sexual harassment in the company which were being reported “often.” The order from the airline’s Chairman and Managing Director follows a complaint from a woman pilot about a senior pilot and instructor about an incident on May 5 in Hyderabad. |

Air India has set up an enquiry against one of its senior captains on sexual harassment allegations after receiving a complaint from a woman pilot. Air India spokesperson said that the woman pilot in her complaint to the airline's management stated that the accused asked her several inappropriate questions. |

In an effort to attract more fliers in the domestic sector, national carrier Air India (AI) on Friday announced that starting Saturday, it offer a 40 per cent discount on tickets bought within three hours of the departure of a flight. This is expected to bring some relief for fliers as after the shutting down of operations by Jet Airways, the capacity intake of the Indian aviation sector went down, leading to an increase in demand and as such, a hike of 20 to 40 per cent in ticket prices. |
