Swati Reddy, also known as Colours Swathi, is an Indian film actress and television presenter. she ventured into television at age 17. Swati was born in Vladivostok, Soviet Union. Her father, who was working for the Indian Navy, was transferred to the USSR as a submariner. Her family shifted to Mumbai and later to the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, where she spent most of her childhood. While studying in 11th class, she moved to Hyderabad. She enrolled at St. Maryâ€™s College in Yousufguda, Hyderabad and graduated in biotechnology.
After essaying supporting roles, she made her debut as a leading role actress in the Tamil film Subramaniyapuram (2008). Her role in the Telugu film Ashta Chamma received critical acclaim and garnered her the Filmfare Award and Nandi Award for Best Actress. In 2008, Swathi had spoken dubbing for actress Ileana D'Cruz in the film Jalsa.
