Manchu Vishnu Vardhan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, to veteran actor Mohan Babu and late Vidya Devi. He grew up with his siblings- half-brother Manchu Manoj and sister Manchu Lakshmi.

Vishnu entered into Telugu Cinema with the 2003 film Vishnu, directed by Shaji Kailas, he went on to win the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Male for his performance.

The trust runs the Sree Vidyanikethan International School, Sree Vidyanikethan degree College, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy, Sree Vidyanikethan College of Nursing, The Sree Vidyanikethan College of Management and the Sree Vidyanikethan College for Post Graduation Studies.

Manchu Vishnu started a social unit called Army Green for promoting environmental awareness. Army Green adopted small settlements in the vicinity of the Sree Vidyanikethan Institutions.

Vishnu Manchu made his foray into Television by directing the 100th episode of Zee Telugu's series titled Happy Days.

Vishnu entered films as a child artist when he was just 4 years old with film Ragile Gundelu in 1985.

His first blockbuster hit was Dhee in 2007 alongside Genelia DSouza. His 2012 film Dhenikaina Ready was a super hit running 175 days in several centres.

"Sarada" is an upcoming 2016 Telugu romantic comedy film written and directed by G.Karthik Reddy. It is produced by D. Kumar and P Keshav Rao under their Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Films banner.
