Autonagar Surya is a 2014 Telugu film directed by Deva Katta.
The film, which is said to be a political thriller film, starsNaga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead while starring Rakul Preet Singh, Sai Kumar in pivotial roles.
The film was produced by K. Atchi Reddy on Max India Productions banner while R. R. Movie Makers acted as its presenter who later disassociated themselves with the film.
Anoop Rubens has composed the music for the film which has already received a thumbs up from music lovers.
Gautham Naroj is the cinematographer and the film is edited by Gautham Raju.
Samantha was reported to be playing a mass role with some shades of comedy.
The role of Surya played by Chaitanya in the film was said to be a skilled mechanic based in Vijayawada but the director claimed it to have no connection with Vijayawada.
Sai Kumar, Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Venu Madhav Ajay, and Rakul Preet Singh are the others in the cast.
The movie went on floors two years ago but was delyed a great deal due to financial crisis.
The film is set in 1980's and revolves around an orphan named Surya who works as a mechanic in Autonagar.
