Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its construction arm has bagged contract from the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) to construct 23,432 dwelling units at various locations in Navi Mumbai. The company did not provide the value of the contract, but said the order falls under the ‘major’ category, which ranges between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 7,000 crore according to the classification of contracts. |

L&T has received engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order to set up flue-gas desulphurisation (FGD) system at Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station at stage-I & II (6×210 mega watt (MW) & 2×500 MW, the company said in a BSE filing. |

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday reported a decent set of numbers for the three months to June but indicated that a revival in private sector capex was a good 12-18 months away. The engineering firm reported a smart 21% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,473 crore, though revenues grew at a sedate 10% y-o-y to Rs 29,636 crore. Moreover, fresh orders during the quarter were up a modest 11% y-o-y to Rs 38,700 crore. |
