In 2009 GasTerra B.V. signed a long term gas supply (until 2030) with Distrigas ensuring the continous flow of low-calorific gas to Belgium. The Dutch government owns half of GasTerra (10% directly and 40% indirectly through state-owned gas and mineral producer Energie Beheer Nederland), while Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell each indirectly hold 25% of the company.
