| Connecticut Children's Medical Center |  | Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) centerpiece is its children's hospital that cares for children from babyhood to adulthood with a variety of services including surgery, behavioral care, and emergency medicine. The critical care department houses a Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) that receives referral patients from more than 30 hospitals throughout the region. The center also conducts clinical research and provides pediatric training to health professionals.
